Reviews about Key Realty

This was the worst experience I have ever been through. To start off the customer/ realtor relationship, we had dropped our applications off in the office in late June (With the application fees.) A week and a half went by with no contact from K.R.

We decided to call them to check on the applications. Upon calling, we discovered that the realtor did NOT receive our applications, as they had become lost through the "shuffling of paperwork."

After finally processing our applications, we were approved. With the initial approval date around early July, we were instructed to wait for them to contact us with the official move-in date (We were told we could move-in at the LATEST August 1st.) Two and a half weeks went by and we had not yet heard from K.R.

Again, we decided to contact them about the delay. They had not even touched the apartment. They said they would call us back with the official move-in date.

One more week went by, and we FINALLY received a call indicating that our move-in date was in mid-August. We then proceeded to wait until we received another phone call from the realtor indicating that our move-in date can be moved-up to August 5th, as the apartment would be ready for us.

We drove across town to K.R. and signed a few agreement papers. At MY request, I asked to view the apartment once more before we sign the lease agreement. The agent approved, and we drove across town again.

She unlocked the apartment, and we all walked in. Not only was there a bad smell, the apartment still had stained carpet, dirty walls which also contained nails and screws, the kitchen door had a punch hole in it, the back patio door was extremely damaged (Looks like an animal tried to claw through, one of the kitchen cabinets was broken, there was standing water in the basement, the ceiling in the basement was warped due to the extreme moisture, the upstairs bedrooms still had big stains in the carpet, and lastly the realtor had no knowledge of the damages.

If I had not requested to see the apartment, this would have NEVER been discovered until the move-in process. While in the apartment, she contacted the building manager who said our move-in date was still in mid-August and that they have not come out to fix anything as of yet.

Not only were we angry, but we were put through such an inconvenience to get pushed back another week.

We all drove back to the K.R. office, and decided to let them fix these needed repairs. I instructed the realtor to contact me throughout the week with any updates (Even if nothing new had unfolded.)

Another week went by, and I had not received a phone call. I decided to reach out for the third and final time! She said the apartment is suppose to be ready and she was gonna go over to the apartment and provide me with an update later that night. I never received a phone call.

The next morning, I received a call around 12 from the realtor whom had some more news for us. The apartment still wasn't ready, but they would like to put us into a different unit instead.

This has forced the decision to move on to a competitor business.

The realtor was probably one of the most unprofessional, uninformed, and irresponsible people I have ever communicated with.

Very poor decision to try and go through this company. Definitely, the worst experience. Over all, the experience lasted 45+ days.

The indecent, irresponsible business practices interfere with peoples lives. Inconsiderate how the communication between the building manager and the realtor barely exist.

K.R. is pointing fingers at the building manager, and vice versa.

The fact that no one is claiming responsibility is sad and unprofessional to say the least.

To Key Realty: This is an honest review from your most recent mistreated ex-client. Congrats to all of those that did find a happy home. We were hoping to do the same. Thank you.
