  Bought a used transmission from these jokers. Asked what they had available for a 04 trailblazer. He said he had two. One with 120,000 miles $450 another with 119,000 miles $550. I asked for the cheaper of the two. They said they would have it ready for me. So i arrange to use a vehical to go down and pick it up. I live in Wisconsin btw. Took me about 5 hours to remove the old tranny. Called and asked when I could pick up said transmission. I was told tomorrow afternoon. I informed him that would be on my way after picking up my boys from school. Just after 3pm. I would arrive close to closing time. So the next day I head down to Rockford. An hour away. They call at 3:30 says they wouldn't have it out today. Having equipment problems. Ok. I get it. Stuff happens. Next morning I go to get it. I'm told 10:30 it would be ready. I show up a little early. Because I don't like to be late. It's still in the vehical! The vehical they took it out of has obviously had a fire in the engine compartment. Against my better judgement. I took the transmission. Which was covered in soot. I get it home, start cleaning it up. Clean the sticker off to find out it's a 02 transmission.. not an 04 like I asked for. I call them and explain this. He said well it came out of an 04 trailblazer. I told him I was looking at the tag and it was an 02 trans. He said. "Well I don't know about that". Explained that it had obviously been in a fire, the housing was totally black, the neutral safety switch was partially melted and it didn't have the same harness that I needed, and the fluid inside was black. I was told he had video of the vehical running and driving under it's own power.. pretty hard to believe after an engine fire that cooked off all the paint on the front end. So I go back down there (the next day)and get my neutral switch off my old trans. Put everything back together. 7 hours.. Go for a test drive. Major slipping going into third and no forth gear. So I call them again. He says he has another one with 120,000. "119,000 and some change. So 120". So I tell him I'll be down tomorrow to pick it up. He says " ok. We'll call you when its ready". Go down Wednesday to get it. I'm told it wasn't ready. They said "we told you we would call when it was ready. Should be done tomorrow afternoon". Thursday goes by. No calls. Friday morning he calls and asks if I still wanted to pick up the trans. That he wasn't in the shop yesterday but one of his guys called and left a message that it was ready.. funny thing is. I had no missed calls and no new voicemails. Hmmm.. wonder who they called.. sure as hell not me. Drop off the old pile.. bring the new one home. Install it, 5 hours. Go to put the dip stick back on. No gasket.. the housing just rattles in the tranny.. isn't that just great! So I call them up. 10 min to closing time.. no answer.. I'm betting he knows the number by now.. call a few more times back to back. No answer. So i leave a message.. damn answering machine can't even do its job right and cuts me off. Big surprise. Still no call back from them.. up until the last time I called them. I was very polite. I understand that some things are just out of our control. But that's no excuse for not putting in any effort to make sure you give a person what they are paying for.. Don't waist your time with these guys. They dont know what they are selling, they obviously don't inspect what they are selling, to make sure it's in working order or fully intact.. I'll never go back to rock city auto
